Just watched a mouth dropping want to slap someone silly piece from this morning about. Children's names.

Do you choose who your children are friends with based on their names? Do you categorise names into social classes?

This stupid apprentice reject wouldn't let her children be friends with people called Tyler or charmaine because they sound working class and probably won't do their homework

lol

tho its true you usually can section people by their kids names

for example most kids called Chantel or Shanesse will be taken to school by their mother wearing a onesie

but no I wouldn't dream of not allowing my kids to be friends with anyone for such daft reasons

Pontypridd

I watched it myself and just couldn't believe what I was hearing!

My children pick their own friends regardless of name or class, as long as they like them and don't upset them that's good enough for me x

My sons teacher was called Chantelle Pampillon. This is of no relevance to this story but you reminded me of her. God she was gorgeous.

Arse End of the Universe, Cumbria

I watched it on YouTube n had to giggle when she include children named for geographical locations and Philip said that her daughter was called India!!!

Btw, why was Holly wearing a frock that my Granny would have been happy wearing in 1974? Bloody awful, I had a bedspread similar in the 80s

What's wrong with working class?

I'dlove to be working class - right now, due to circumstances I'm a benefits scrounger, though on meeting I seem like a prim middle classer!

I've raised my daughters to be independent free thinkers and respectful to others. I think I'd be testing them if I tried dictating who their friends were.
