Once you wrap the hair , hold it in for a while, will look a little tight at first but it will drop , it's much easier to curl it the day after its been washed too,

I did my daughters last week for her prob and I was so pleased with the results oh don't forget , plenty of hairspray

Yep. I have naturally curly hair but prefer it straight or big loose curls.

It's very odd.

I detest my curls & personally think I look better with it straight, but takes me nearly 3 hours to straighten it because its so thick

Yes , use a good quality styling product on the ends of your hair, Tony and Guy do a great styling spray that doesn't leave your hair feeling sticky...oh yeah.....and watch your fingers!!!!

Chuck it in the bin and get heated rollers. So much easier to used and you don't get fucking arm ache holding the bloody thing up. It also give you better curls cuz you can leave the rollers in till they cool down which sets it.

Isnt it just an amazing look.. I tend to find that heat doesnt work well for a long time on my hair.. So have to say my top tip is to rag roll your hair and put it in when slightly damp, with a hint of curling spray... Blow dry it with everything in place... and leave it as long as possible before going out..

I need at least 6 hours for my hair to take decently... hence its a look I rarely do..

when I do use hot curling tongues.. I use a mirror front and back.

Use heat protection spray it seems to help hold the curl, then wind it round the wand and hold for ten seconds, let it cool before brushing through with fingers then spray with hairspray under and on top.

You know you can get your hair chemically straightened?! You get it don't at the hairdresses. There are also home kits you can get at afro hair shops.

Stay away from most as chemicals are harmful

Try Kebelo as all natural and also the cream silk. Longer lasting blow dry. This will not straighten but will smooth the hair

OMG NO don't do it! I had mine done in a salon many years ago and it was the worst thing I've ever done to my poor hair. It even stripped the colour so I looked like my roots needed doing after a few weeks.

I cut it much shorter in the end and just had to let it grow out! Never again, although my hair is now very short so no curls anyway

That's what I thought

However if it was you wouldn't need any hair products

Chemically straightening your hair is the same as getting a perm or your hair dyed. As long as you apply the same rules and keep it conditioned its fine.

I have a mop. I straightened it for about 10 years. I've given in and gone natural and it's a mass of curls and takes about two hours to straighten. Aveda Be Curly works well but it's pricey. I have a wand and it makes for really good spirals but I can't be arsed.
