Glasgow

It is said, amongst proper musicians, that Winston Marshall has perfect pitch.

That is to say he can fling his banjo into a skip at 30 paces.

don't say that bobby womacks set isn't good... I am going to watch that and the smashing pumpkins tomorrow....

have to say there have been a few sets that have been really good this weekend, and a few that have really disapointed me....

I’m sure they have a huge following and they are obviously very good at what they do,

But speaking as an old foggy, their style is nothing I haven’t heard a 100 times before wandering the streets and bars of places like Dublin,......

Albeit I would agree they do seem to have a real depth to their sound that makes them stand out from the other bands of a similar ilk.....

Their lead singer has the stage presence of a wet kipper!

*runs and hides from all the Mumford & Sons fans*

But he's got a good voice and the crowd responded well.

He does have a decent voice. I've yet to see a crowd react badly to a headline act at Glastonbury, they even welcomed jay-z whicj is hardly traditional festival fare.

Give me a Jarvis Cocker, Liam Gallagher, Mick Jagger, Steven Tyler, i.e. someone with a bit of swagger any day.

How on earth they are closing the festival over the Rolling Stones is beyond me. For me they are nothing like a headlining band

I've seen them live before and it was immense, you really have to be there to know how good they are. Having said that I don't think they're a festival band, well at least not headlining, they're better at intimate gigs.

"How on earth they are closing the festival over the Rolling Stones is beyond me. For me they are nothing like a headlining band"

The Stones couldn't do the Sunday night, they have to be back at the home for Monday morning so they can be taken off to the Post Office for their pensions.
