blackberry help pls!!!

we got a 2nd hand BB for our son but cannot get it connected via wifi. the display says that wifi is on but when we try to use whatsapp or facebook it says it cannot find a wifi connection!!! grrrr pls some1 help!!!

yes and all other devices like xbox and iphone r gettin a signal with no problem

Have you paid for blackberry internet? I didn't realise I had to do that first and didn't understand why the internet was not working!
