It all depends on past experiences. My first marriage was to a man who constantly put me down and mentally as well as physically abused me. My second husband started to boost my confidence and I felt a lot better about myself but then he lost interest in sex and I felt it was because he didn't find me attractive despite him saying otherwise and my confidence took another nose dive. I'm now with partner no. 3 and I've never felt sexier and confident in my own skin, my age has nothing to do with it, it's the person you're with or that are around you that helps.

I'm 56 and I feel just the same inside as I did when I was 26 or 16 come to that . I am more confident and I don't give a flying hoo ha what anyone thinks about me BUT I can't stay up all night, I don't have smooth, bouncy skin and I don't have that carefree attitude that many young women are blesed with . I don't mean that as bad but just to illustrate that every age in a womans life should be celebrated for the good in it.
