Not for me either.. no way could I relax and enjoy while Mother Nature is visiting.

A friend recently said it wouldn't bother him, the shower being his favoured place for fun during that time. I can see his logic but I'd still prefer a man free week.

i would be bugging drs all the time til they did something. i was put on the pill injection for mine as was bleeding 3wks a month and heavy. it took a while of different tests and pills to get them to do something more permanent and havent had a period for 5yrs now its fab.

Your in and out of hospital on the same day unless(diabetic) but basically it's the removal of the lining of the womb. After years of hell and being on most the time and everything else failing it made life so ......much better

I was told by my local hospital tht th amount of pain I was in & th blood I lost, tht there was nowt wrong with me! Obviously I was a hysterical hypochondriac! 4 years I was in agony to varying degrees & the hospital was my second home, not to mention the increasing dependency on morphine to control the pain!! Wen this so called endometriosis expert finally discharged me, I went private. Turns out I wasn't a raving hypochondriac, I had massive amount of endometriosis all across my abdominal cavity, womb, bowel, tubes, not to mention adhesions like spider webs. I have 2 beautiful children & thankful for them every day. I had a hysterectomy 5 years ago, it was a massive release not just for me but my kids & husband too. 4 whole years everything stopped for me, including our sex life. Now I wouldn't change wat I did, it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I would recommend it to every woman who is beholden to her body like I was & u r. Just hope tht u have a better consultant at ur local hospital than I did....x

"when I am on and in full flow ... if I did in my bed would look like the killing field ... I have two big tampons inside and night towles two on 24/7 and at times can't even go to shops , lol so would I have sex like this NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

I'm same although I doing put 2 tampons in at same time only use them if have to go out, do have 2 towels on though....makes trying to go out a faff....always wearing black in case of leaks.....thankfully I don't have a lot of pain despite the endrometrosis and pcos so I'm lucky.....do feel for the women who are rolling around in agony....."

Maybe you should see a gynecologist about this... Also if you're losing so much blood you could become anaemic, would recommend blood test.

yes I go to hospital next month ... I had that mirena coil and come out when I have a bad period ,, I have them over two weeks at times feel knacked and yes could be anaemic I get given tables to hold it back but when I stop taking them it come back . xxx

back to the docs and insist on them finding some kind of treatment.

Ive had it with fibroids. It's so debilitating. But I would not be brushed off and had them operated on. When they returned got th he mirena coil.

Well worth the mither. Hardly ever have a period now.

I was on holiday in usa and really bad and my mirena coil just come out .. so that don't work for everyone ..
