My excuse for misreading the title as 'places you wouldn't want to go on a date' is that my eyesight is poor.

I don't want to go to an abbatoir on a date ever. Thank you

Place I WOULD want to go

A nice restaurant with a tasting menu, one possibly two glasses of lovely cold champagne. The table next to us would be holding a fascinating conversation that we could listen in to and speculate on as we enjoyed our food.

Afterwards we'd retire to comfortable sofas for dessert, coffee and mints before sending our way home

.

A really good bookshop crawl. Start at a coffee shop, a few bookstores and sometimes choosing a book for the other person, maybe a quirky museum or art gallery.

And then a cocktail or two in a quiet, independent, dark bar where the bartenders are mixologists and come up with weird concoctions that strangely work.
