So, one point out of six so far this season, and already the WHU forums in meltdown.

Probably deserved a point today, but gave away two soft goals and missed a penalty.

Off to Southampton Tuesday, then on to Watford next Saturday. Might squeeze in an FA Trophy game on Friday night.

Did you see the Northampton keeper at Crewe ? Dicking around while not realising there was a Crewe forward behind him ?

They don't learn, do they ?

Both West Ham & Leicester have only a point after two games. They will find it hard get back up at this rate...

Derby

Not a fan of either team but not overly surprised at Hulls win over Utd. Hull showed last year they can get results against the odds.

What I am surprised at is spurs defeat, I actually thought they might do ok this year. I guess the spurs fans will be able to identify the root cause of the problems down there.

As for my team, Derby have one more point than I expected after 2 games. I feel sorry for the owner who genuinely has the club at heart, but a series of injuries coupled with some questionable signings are conspiring to make this a season of survival.

It's a long season. Lots of ups and downs. The Championship is a tough league. A few wins and you're in the play offs. A few losses and you're in relegation.

Leicester are actually in League One!

That's wild. Worse than Portsmouth when they went down. Leicester have won the Premier League and the FA Cup. How far they have fallen.

City got away with it big time today. Horrible finishing at times and frankly, worse defending at other times.

A win’s a win, though!🩵

Well not exactly an evening where defences were on top at The Cottage then !

Fulham were all over the place to be honest, and it doesn't help to be chasing the game after barely 30 seconds. And it could be said that both Fulham goals were down to errors by Sanchez. The plus was Fulham were being a little more direct. The criticism under Silva was they always took a touch or pass too many in the build up. We shall see how things progress over the next few months.

Two games later today. Millwall U21 v. Huddersfield U21 at The Den, Watford v. Peterborough in the League Cup in the evening.

Off to the south coast this afternoon to watch another negative Nuno performance. Will be interesting to see how crap a formation he comes up with. (Not that I’m feeling despondent at all 🤣).

Just got home (despite an unplanned closure on the A34) sand what an unexpected lovely evening that turned out to be. Eight u21 players on the starting line up and the our regular first team get shown how to play the beautiful game.

I know our 2nd string beat Soton’s 2nd string, but it was a great game to watch. Even better was the abuse aimed continuously at Sullivan. The sooner that odious little fucker disappears completely from the club, the better ⚒

Well I've seen the onion bag rattled a few times, but definitely have mixed reflections on two matches.

Professional Development League at The Den at lunchtime. A lively entertaining game. Millwall 2-0 up at half time, but as the friend I was with discussed at half time, we couldn't believe Huddersfield weren't on the score sheet.

That didn't stay the case for long, they got a toe hold back in the game and totally turned it around in the latter stages. Millwall U21 2 Huddersfield U21 4.

And as for Vicarage Road....I'm not annoyed - I'm fucking fuming.

TOTALLY IRRESPONSIBLE from the manager to effectively put out a team full of kids against Peterborough. I understand that clubs need to look at their youngsters somewhere. But for the integrity of the competition the Football League need to bring in a ruling whereby clubs are compelled to start at least five players who featured in their previous League game. An embarrassing, humbling 1-5 defeat to Peterborough is bad enough, but the harm that may have been done to Watford's youngsters.....

Odd stat from my season to date (nineteen matches so far)....I've yet to see a draw. Twelve home wins, seven aways. Seventeen goals in three games have pushed the average past three per game (sixty in total).

Anyway, two more doses of League Cup action await. Have managed to get a ticket for Spurs v Charlton, then it's Fulham v. Wimbledon on Thursday.

Not a team I support, but Celtic royally fucked up last night... 4-0 up at one point over 2 legs, ended up going out of the Champions League qualification, 5-4. 😱

Anyways, Deepdale tonight for the mighty Toffeemen 🍬

Could not believe that Celtic result. Saw they were 1 up and thought “job done”. No team should ever throw away a 4-goal lead (unless your playing in a village and all the local skinheads turn up).
