Seems to be a millennial thing. No man worth his salt born prior to 99 would contemplate shaving anything other than their beard or balls. There's no need to shave the third or fourth B's (belly and bum respectively)

Maybe they just prefer the appearance of shaved skin.

There’s multiple reasons OP. If I had a hairy belly I’d need to shave it because that’s where I stick my insulin pump
