We noticed that the some organisers of club and social gathering said they cannot post/share an attendance list because of GDPR. However, the DPC’s guidance makes it clear that GDPR doesn’t prohibit releasing such lists. We like having a list, as time and money are precious and it helps us decide whether it’s worth attending. What are everyone’s thoughts on this.

Attendance lists don’t bother us, we usually find there’s a group chat somewhere if its a special event anyways

Deepest darkest Peru

I host a social I don’t post a guest list

I’ve been to over 30 socials in my time here and never once has it bothered me about who would be there

I’ve never gone to one thinking oh I hope I meet someone who I’d possibly have sex with

I’ve gone for the chat, laughs and dancing usually and if anything else comes from that at the point or in the future ( and it has) then great ☺️

As a host I always say come with an open mind and no expectations

Sometimes the people you get on most and connect with are the folk you usually might not message or look at their profile

I prefer to see an attendance list.

Because I like to have an idea of likely busyness and vibe. And if someone I actively avoid is going I can make other plans.

But, organisers don't have to share them. And if that's an issue just vote with your feet 💜

I prefer events that don’t have a guest list because then people can’t contact you ahead of time.

I like that most kink events post a note that anyone using the guest list as a phone book to try and get laid will be banned 💜

Guest lists mean nothing to me.

People arent always what you expect in person and people dont always turn up for whatever reason.

I find its best to just go with an open mind and see what happens.

On the rare occasion I attend a club, its always with my partner, so its never a wasted evening.

I like to know who’s going. I don’t go to them anymore as unfortunately there are a couple of people I just wouldn’t want to be near. I’d rather spend the time elsewhere.

I get that people don’t have to and I guess it’s my loss as they say 🤷‍♀️
