Sometimes. When I run out of one, I use a different pack. No harm in it. The purists will scream in protest. Ignore them. 👍🏾😁

I reckon it's ok with those two mixed but I wouldn't mix macaroni with linguine because I think they'd cook at different speeds

This.

I’d rather go to the store and buy more than having to suffer shape and texture differences 😭

Think you got to keep the shapes similar.

I had a cheese sauce so it covered it up nicely.

Like if the shapes were more visible i might have the ick lol

I prefer using all the same pasta in a meal, depending on the sauce, but if I have a little of something else to use up I'll probably put that in too.

I've never needed to try... I always have a new packet ready when I'm running low.

However, one thing I am annoyed about is since having to switch to gluten free, I've had to go back to spaghetti because I can't find GF linguine anywhere 😕

Make your own, it’s quite a mindful process making your own and drying it to cook later is simple. Don’t let Mr CC know about this thread though because he’ll be trying to get everyone to mill their own flour too.

In the past I've mixed pasta shells with pasta twists but I found the shells take longer to cook. Probably a scientific explanation about the twists having a larger surface are or something.... Who knows?
