Beach would be my favourite, but in general anywhere that isn’t a built up area, pubs en route just add to the enjoyment and experience

Love a walk through the forest, especially with a lake nearby. The sounds of the water and the birds and to top it all off, ending it with a nice waterfall. Gorgeous.

Along beaches and coastal paths too.....which, where I live, are in abundance.

But only Autumn and Winter when tourists have gone and I have it all to myself

Woods or forest to walk the dog, preferably with a small river or stream. In the north east, somewhere like Plessey Woods or Jesmond Dene (although sometimes both can be too ‘peopley’).

I’ll take a nice circular route in the Yorkshire dales to some waterfalls. A nice relaxing extra hour or two by the falls and another hours walk back with a pub at the end for a cold drink and a bite

Happy with pretty much all of those suggestions.

Initial thoughts were a walk along a prom , around a coastline , possibly with a friendly dog.

Here. There.

City canals. I love looking at the different architecture and how cities have grown as a mix of styles. Does mean I bump into things though as always looking up.
