Why are there so many fake profiles on this site and why are they allowed to continue to post even after reporting them? So many people get let down from meets by fake profiles (couples and singles). Some gay men pretend to be women.

Moderators ignore a lot of the reports , no member should be allowed on the site without verification. Fab moan about the BBC making a bias report but don’t take action on reports, I’ve reported at least 50 fake profiles , some are still posting. Fix up guys.

I'm a stickler for reverse image searching pics. If it comes up with exact matches linked to porn sites they get reported. Sometimes it's instant ban sometimes take a while.

I’ve seen the same photo of people on different accounts. People steal photos and use it to create accounts. I’ve had a “woman”

messaging me who later confessed to be a gay man.

Also, why wouldn’t a member want to verify their account ? That’s not to say they are 100% fake but suspicious.

Moderators have nothing to do with reports, that's admin and they don't ignore them.

Here is an explanation from Admin from another thread on how they deal with reports.

******Just a quick note. If people report others and we can verify that they have broken site rules, we always take action (either a first and final warning, partially suspended account, fully suspended, mixture of the above).

Every single report sent via the REPORT link is reviewed. Clearly it's not in our interests to have people on here who are bad for the site. Equally we need to verify what has been reported and be fair to those who have been reported.

PS. we never provide feedback on what has happened. It's just not practical given that we get 100s of reports a day.

Here is what the page says after a report has been submitted:

Your feedback has been saved.

A website admin will shortly review your feedback and take the necessary action. After reviewing the evidence available to us, we may disable an account, remove a user, disable certain aspects of that user's account or issue a warning.

By leaving feedback you help improve the site for everyone who uses it. Thank you.******

Filter out unverified people in your searches and mail or don't interact with those profiles

Thing is they're getting photo verified somehow too. Too easy to fake with AI/photo editting software these days

They advertise their tele where you get to see their real face from multiple angles , plus even on their fab profiles, on one they look like Cindy Crawford, on another they look more like Shrek.

I don't think I see many. The owners always investigate reports about profiles but we shouldn't expect that reports take just a few minutes to be picked up and investigated. A few days is more reasonable!

In all my years here I've never personally encountered a fake profile, nor engaged with one.

I'm not sure why so many people create threads about them as if it's personally impeding their Fab journey and impacting their success on here.

It's never affected me in any shape or form.

There may be fake profiles – I'm not suggesting there aren't...but I'll happily coexist with them.

I am finding it strange how people just don't listen to what Admin have said about reports, almost like they just don't want to.

As another Mod posted what happens to reports I won't repeat that, but all reports are checked and dealt with if needed. Reports can take up to 48 hours ( longer if busier than usual ) so patience is needed please

I told you about a personal experience I had , I’m not quite sure how you came to that wild conclusion.
