It probably will show him moving between realms/timelines acquiring more power as he destroys people. Tough though in one film to fit that many characters in AND give a backstory to a villain that (non marvel fans) will understand etc Will people actually die this time? | |||

I think you need to go back and watch the Infinity Saga. We only saw Thanos briefly in a couple of end credit teasers. He may have appeared in the first Avengers film but he just sat there did nothing. We didnt even know his name until the first Guardians film. We didnt see Thanos do anything until the opening scene of Infinity War where he kicked Hulks ass. And that was a brilliant quick way to show how powerful Thanos was, have him beat the strongest two Avengers in a couple of minutes. The same could happen with Doom, the opening scenes could see realities laid waste and heroes beaten. | |||

" Wasn't that what Kang was meant to be about? With Quantumania giving the first hints before real world events forced the entire thing to be dropped? I dunno multiverse storyline can either be really good ala Everything, Everywhere, All at once, but usually though they are lazy excuses to bring back dead characters or do the character swap storyline. Doomsday looks like it's got a lot of heavy lifting to do what the last two phases worth of movies should have been setting up. | |||

"I predict the majority of characters from the old films will be killed off and then replaced with younger actors to create a new series of films/TV shows. Doomsday is essentially a reboot/retcon." Basically this I don't think they'll stop the universes colliding and this will be the end of the multiverse as we know it, leaving just one for the New Avengers, and a lot of characters are going to die. In the trailer there's a scene where Thor is telling everyone about the threat being the worst yet, if you look in the background of that scene there's a wall with a big computer screen showing 3 circles with lines showing they will impact. There's also a countdown clock in the bottom left hand corner. A Doomsday clock if you will, hence the title of the film. The only problem I have with the film is the lack of build up for Doom, apart from the trailer and one small cut scene we've not seen him. Whereas for Infinity War, Thanos was built up over about 10 years. In the trailer it seem a bit rushed that they've shown how OP Doom is by stopping Thor's Stormbreaker with just his fingers. Baring in mind, in Infinity War, Stormbreaker was more powerful than the infinity gauntlet and managed to hit Thanos. So Doom is OP as fuck. Maybes when the second trailer drops later this year it may give some more insight. But Doomsday is only part 1, Secret Wars (I think to be released in 2028) will conclude the story. | |||

It doesn't feel earned does it? It feels like a last ditch attempt to win over the fans after some terrible decisions and films. Poor story arcs, poor character development or lack of. The only way they can save this by showing Doom's origin story at the start of the film. But I'm excited for the film, I think it's going to have some really good moments. I'm especially looking forward to the fight scene between Gambet and Shang Chi, that's going to be epic. Also, I still want to know, where the fuck is Dr Strange? | |||

"I hope those who are into it enjoy it, but I'm pretty much done with Marvel. There's only so many times they can show a baddy who's a terrible threat getting defeated by CGI after an hour or two. To me it all feels like nothing we've not seen in any other film of theirs. "I feel the same. I'm going to watch Spiderman. But probably won't watch Doomsday. | |||

"Haha I think not, I think the captain America that you see in first teaser trailer is the one we will see from the start of the film. I think Loki will come to him and tell him what's going on with all the incursions. Steve leaves that reality and joins the fantastic four world and from there lives a normal life just being Steve as that world already has its own established heroes. There will be a time jump. So the Steve that you see in the new trailer is the same Steve only there's been a time jump hence why he looks a little different. DR Doom finds out that Steve is the anchor being thats living in his reality (the fantastic fours) and basically blames him for the events of what's going to happen because Steve should not be there. Doom will eventually create battle world which leads into secret wars " Yes, I do have to say that Marvel are very clever with their trailers. They know how to create hype, speculation and theories amongst the community. Take the new Spiderman film for example, they've not revealed who the villain is and everyone is going crazy trying to work out who it is. So hopefully there's lots of surprises in Doomsday. | |||
