Venturing up north for a few days to the festival in August - just had a 300 page programme of shows and events !

Ooerr Where do I start !

Hints and tips muchly appreciated ?

I went 2 years ago. Plan the famous acts first as they tend to sell out and then I pretty randomly chose which free ones to watch. Some were great, some not so great but you haven't been to the festival until you've seen a comedian die on their arse (not literally!).

The shows with 3 or 4 acts are usually good as each comedian will do the best 10 or 15 minutes of material from an hour long show that they do at a different venue. Oh and if they still do it, comedy in the dark is definitely an experience not to be missed!!!

Have a great time, oh and beware of the flyers!!!
