How do you do it?

Do you sleep on a specific side of the bed? Starfish in the middle?

If you share a bed do you sleep intertwined with each other?

Do you hog the covers?

Rub your feet together like an annoying little grasshopper?

Lots of questions. Let me know.

Always on the left side of a double bed. Start on my back, transition to my side when ready to fall to sleep, duvet tucked under but one leg in, one leg out

Always have to have a leg out!

On the very rare occasion that I'm sleeping alone, I like to hug a pillow.

I lay stomach down, with both arms under the pillow, almost under my head, neck tilted either left or right.

Really bad for your back and neck, sometimes wake up with a totally dead arm. Have been trying the last year or two to learn to sleep on my side but barely works.

Insomnia doesn’t help either.

Funny you mentioned rubbing the legs, I do that sometimes!

Has to be total darknness and the only sound has to be a constant, like a fan, never a tv.

I sleep on the right side of the bed. I'd say always but that's a lie...when Missy visits, I sleep on the left side and when I stay at hers, I also sleep on the left. At (her) home, she normally sleeps on the left, but sleeps on the right when I stay. She always likes to sleep on the side of the bed furthest away from the door. So any intruders don't get to her first 😂

I sleep alone, sometimes I sleep on my right side, sometimes I sleep on my left and usually in the middle of the bed.

I tend to sleep with my hand under my pillow and another one at my front to rest my other arm on.

I have to have my feet outside of the covers and I do rub my feet together.

I also sleep with earplugs in and I wear an eye mask. I never sleep right through either.

I am a nightmare to share a bed with as I don't like beimg cuddled in and I'm a fidget. 😊

In a galaxy far far away

I have a king size bed all to myself, it's great 😋

I start with lying on my right side, then my left, then onto my belly with my right arm hugging the pillow.

If I'm not asleep in 10 minutes I repeat the above until I fall asleep.

The leg/feet rubbing thing drives me insane. Just lay still 😂

Somewhere in Norfolk ask :)

I struggle to get to sleep, we both have our ‘ sides ‘ mines the left and his always the right , he falls asleep the second his head hits the pillow and snores badly, I lay awake struggling to sleep for hours , normally I make up the sleep when he gets up early to go to work and I’ll always roll on to his side because it’s comforting and helps me get a few hours before I have to get up. I sleep on my stomach mainly.

Yeah the snoring isn't on. My husband snores so bloody loud that I try to get to sleep before he comes to bed or I'll lay awake all night😒

I find a quick elbow to the ribs and act like you're sleeping helps. Makes them turn on their side 👀

I've recently got a new mattress and stupidly thought a firmer one would be better.

It took weeks for my neck and shoulders to adjust, my hips sometimes hurt terribly and it's so high I have to almost climb on.

I tend to start on the left side and roll into the middle to try to get comfortable.

Always with the window open.

Cuddles before bed is all good, but for sleep keep to your own side.

All over the bed, but usually on my left side or front.

Kind of in the position of a comedy chalk outline of a body or, for some reason, arms crossed and tightly tucked under my chin.

1 leg always out and wrapped around quilt.

I must spin a lot too like a rotisserie chicken as my sheet is untucked every morning.

It's a confusing time.

Nanna, I have made the same mistake. I bought a mattress online instead of going in store to test them out. Now I'm stuck with an overly firm one that breaks my back. They're so expensive though. I refuse to buy another.

Have you tried a really thick mattress topper? I’ve found they can make a big difference with a mattress which is too hard.

Tits is a fidget.

We don't technically have 'sides' of the bed but 95% of the time I'm on the right.

And if I so much as cough, fart or scratch my nose in the middle of the night she'll wake up with a start in a panic, as if a sizeable earthquake is happening. 🤦🤦🤦

At home when I'm alone I usually struggle to get to sleep and generally fall asleep on top of the covers, still wearing my glasses. I must move around though because I've fucked the frames on several pairs. 😬😬

I recently bought a sleep mask which has helped me fall asleep quicker. I generally start off on my back but eventually make my way to sleeping on my side after a while. A weird thing when it's hot is that I'll start off on top my duvet but somehow always wake up under them 🤔

I sleep in the left side if looking at the bed from the bottom, I don’t sleep in a specific position but normally have to have lay on both sides and back and front before can fall alseep fuck knows why, the dog rotates between several positions all night but takes up maybe 70% of the bed and either snores loudly or runs in his sleep while whimpering and he’s a massive detriment to my quality of sleep haha

That's me but with a Bolster between my legs.

In Asia we have Bolsters which are large sausage shaped pillows, and bedding sets come with matching Bolster Covers. I find it difficult to sleep without it.

I also put on some conversations podcast or classical music... Helps distract mind difficulty switching off sometimes.

"How do you do it? "

Lie down on the bed, close my eyes and pray for sleep.

"Do you sleep on a specific side of the bed? Starfish in the middle? "

On the right hand side if you are standing at the foot of the bed looking looking towards the head. Then I lie on my left hand side.

If someone is staying over night then I swap sides.

"If you share a bed do you sleep intertwined with each other? "

No, way too hot cuddling someone (and yet I during hot weather like yesterday I will sleep under a duvet, curled up with it tucked around me).

"Do you hog the covers?"

No, but I like wrapping them round me (though its a king-size duvet, so plenty to share).

"Rub your feet together like an annoying little grasshopper? "

No way. And keep your cold feet off me in winter.

"Lots of questions. Let me know."

There you go. But i should say, i am an insomniac. Often not in bed til after 1.00 and then awake before 5.00, so I could do with some distraction.
