If you were to come home and find strange people in your house beating up your kids....or trying to sell them stuff...or teaching them how to kill things... at the very least you'd kick them out.....so why do people let their kids watch tv programs/play games that encourage them to be violent, do stupid things etc????

There.....that's my serious post for the week

If they have some sense in their heads then they will understand the difference between fantasy and reality and what is and is'nt acceptable behaviour

I loved watching Tom and Jerry as a child, but I never had the urge to drop a piano on,set fire to or smash anyone over the head with a hammer

Funny you should mention Tom & Jerry and the impact they have on young minds. I spent my formative years looking for a piano that was light enough for my young & tender muscles to hoist ... never found one though, good job probably.

they were cartoons but some programs

are so realistic that its hard for them to tell the differance

some adults think corrie and eastenders are real so what chance do the kids have

I think video games are the worst culprit.

Most kids these days think life is one big vid game.

They think they can do in real life what they do in games,it totaly desensitises them to the violence, car crime etc that video games show.

Then they take it out on the streets.

if your too lazy a parent to teach a child right from wrong or show them the difference from reality and fantasy then hell batter it into u!!!

my kid has got wii,dsi etc and watches cartoons but she has been raised to know the difference!!

and once the lighter nites in she back to outside playin yes with all the risks!!

got to learn to deal with the real world !!!

rant over abuse to usual address please!! xx

I would'nt agree that most kids are like that

My son loves his games but is one of the most respectful boys that I know of his age,hes kind and thoughful in real life and a total slayer whilst playing his games

He knows the difference between fantasy and reality, right and wrong, its when there is no other guidance from family members that the problems begin

I think its lazy parenting and not the games that are a problem

The xboxes, computers and PS3s are sometimes used as babysitters and that is'nt right
