Our Wives and Sweethearts.

As of tonight, Royal Navy officers will no longer offer the established Saturday night toast of "Our Wives and Sweethearts". This invariably produces the unofficial reply of "May they never meet!"

The new toast will be "Our Families".

I can see the point of this but it's a tradition that's gone back many years.
