"Type 1 here It's a nightmare. Feel sicky all day, drinking loads of water which means I'm constantly on the loo I’m exactly the same. I’ve drank so much water I feel sick but I’m so hot. It’s awful isn’t it?

"Type 1 since '89. Sugars will spike & fall due to loss of appetite etc in this heat, best thing I ever had was to get those libra lifestyle sensors on prescription. Real time glucose readings to your phone without the drama of finger pricking. I find it can micro-manage so much easier. " Yep its a life saver also meal replacement drinks like Huel helps alot when you don't want to eat due to the heat.

"I am type 2, diagnosed last August. No clue about my sugars as I don't test, apart from my annual diabetes check- it was a huge shock to me, not being asked to test regularly. I do have a little bit of a headache but that's not unexpected, in this heat. Otherwise, it's business as usual. " I am in a similar situation diagnosed about 3 years ago just cut down on carbs in diet & its sort of under control , I have never been good with heat

I've been offered libra a few times but I've always been put off by the thought of having something attached to my arm. I think it would annoy me. (I don't wear a watch because they annoy me) Is it worth getting?

Id encourage anyone to try them.

"Help... How did you test for Diabetes? I asked my doctor but they said they tested 2 years ago and I was okay. 2 years ago isn't today? Is there anyplace I can get tested apart from my GP who won't do the test " Go private? Although I would have thought you'd be entitled to one at your GPs after 2 years!
