One fan at the moment. It's quite powerful, but I think the big guns will have to come out now I'm cooking and the sun is hitting my kitchen window.

If you go outside the house feels cooler when you go back in.

Also, drinking lots and eating ice lollies.

After dinner I'll have a cool shower and air dry.

I get a small towel or flannel and soak it in ice water for about 30 mins then have it around the back of my neck draped over my shoulders. It sends a nice cool feeling down your back or atleast it does for me

A friend told me to freeze a flannel. Might stick one in see if that works

I’ve had two tower fans on all day. Windows shut. Bare feet. Hair up. Minimal cotton clothes. Lots of cold drinks. Holding wrists under cold water I find helps too.

I worked outside in 36° heat this morning. I was dripping when I finished.

Got in the car to drive home and it said the temperature inside was 44° 🥵🥵

My air con takes about 10 minutes to cool the car down. The drive home took 8.

Straight in the door and stripped naked, opened all the windows, turned on all my temu ceiling fans and closed the curtains.

Then stood in front of the open fridge door for 5 minutes.

It's fucking hot.

Close all curtains and open windows, be careful you don't go out and leave them open.

Get 3 face flannels, wet them, put them in the freezer once almost frozen rub your head, neck, armpits and if you can take it, in the groin.

Don't get too over zealous about pouring loads of water down your throat, nice little sips but often, check the colour of your wee, nice staw colour, if a bit too orange then regulate accordingly.

Don't get too dramatic, take your time, everything will be fine.

Just remember, in a week you will be praying for the sun again.

Don't forget high SPF and give elderly neibours a knock to see if they need anything from the shops, try not to let them drag a shopping trolley to the shops as its what they do every Thursday without fail.

Don't let your kids burn, its a terrible sight and can cause damage only seen later on in life.

Don't walk your dogs on hot pavements.

If you feel a moan coming on think of the ex pat contractors working in the middle east.

I've got a few Shark Fans with mist, lots of cold drinks and a cool shower to start the day.

You can try ice packs (in bed as well!), cold wet thin cloth on your skin, a water spray, or popping to Alaska x

Bathing your feet is highly underrated.

Nans and Grandads did it for years, Epson salts and all, and they all lived until they were mid 60's.

I submerse myself in cold water baths, which really cools my head. The water can be reused multiple times

I go extremely slowly with all I do

Avoidance is better than treating the symptoms. Keep your home from heating as much as you can

Loose clothing, a cap, sunglasses, sunscreen, lots of shade, water. Avoid public transport if you can. Aloe vera just before bed to cool your body down. A cold shower. A thin blanket. Fan opposite to the window to create an airflow.

Put your hands or your feet in a large bowl or bucket of cold water for ten minutes and you will cool down.

An alternative at bedtime is pop your folded bottom sheet in the freezer for 30 mins before bedtime.

Personally don't think it's that hot. It's nice of course but nothing to write home about. Had a Chilli con carne earlier but no need to cool down tbh

Had hotter summers living in europe.

But it's different for different people I guess.
