"A family member ended up in hospital on 2 different trips abroad because of insect bites. Someone told her to take brewers yeast about 4 years ago and she hasn't had a single bite since. I usually come home from hiking trips with at least one bite but haven't had any on the last couple because I took the brewers yeast tablets before and during the trips. " Google says clinical tests show no repellent effect at all. There was some research that says it doesn't repellent, but it lessens the effect of the bites. But it's a harmless supplement, and products like Deet are not good for environment. If it works for you and others, I would ignore the research too

If it works for you and others, I would ignore the research too I've used the Skin so soft for years as part of a SAR team in the mountains and it works most of the time but I found I had to keep reapplying it and that wasn't always easy which is why I usually ended up with one or two bites. On training days when lying out for hours on end it worked great.

If it works for you and others, I would ignore the research too I rarely get bitten (so far🤞), just occasionally a horsefly gets me around midday. I got multiple bites one year in Turkey, and I found for the rest of the year I got bitten at home. I'm sure the damn things leave a trustpilot type marker on you...tried it...liked it
