How is your spice tolerance?

Do you enjoy spicy food?

Are you ordering a Korma at the Indians?

Are you one of those people who exclaim "it's not even that spicy" while turning red and the veins are bursting out of your head?

My tolerance is high and I enjoy it. Unfortunately it's not worth it anymore. Most places that do spicy food just make it hot for no reason. It destroys the flavour. I opt for slightly spicy or medium so I can taste the flavours. The side effect is my tolerance has gone down and when I eat something proper spicy I get the sniffles. Still worth it. Spice is life.

I'm a medium kind of guy...a nice Balti always goes down well.

Not into the crazy hot food....sometimes something mild and sweet really hits the spot.

I had some Korean spiced chicken recently. It was bloody delicious!!!

Wotsits crunchy sweet and spicy are a real addiction as well.

This is me also. I enjoy a little bit of spice, but when it's unnecessarily hot and all you can taste is fire, i don't see how people can enjoy that.

I don't mind a bit of spice as long it has flavour to it as well. I hate spice for the sake of it but I do enjoy a tingle on my lips, the slightly runny nose and light sweat that comes from it.

The Indians before it changed hands did the most amazing spicy red donner kebab meat and that’s probably the spiciest thing I had some nights it was off the scale though and hard to eat. Since it’s been took over they still do it but it’s really weak in spice and taste, it’s not even as bright red as it was more a slimy pink, hot one every Thursday now it’s ruined

Came for a spicy sex thread.

Found spicy food. I'll stay 😁

I love flavourful spice but not the kind that just ruins the experience. Probably mid level.

Has to still taste good. Bit of a kick only if it adds value.

Love most all indian food and mexican food. Like mild thai dishes but not a fan of thai curries. Just too much heat and no substance to balance.

I quite like hot and spicy, but it doesn’t depend what I’m eating. As I’d rather have the flavour over the heat

So for curries I usually go for something between medium & hot.

I have been known to try ridiculously spicy foods occasionally though. I can remember buying some Sausages made with Carolina reaper chilli’s, that was an experience

I have chillies in my breakfast.

I make a goat and mango curry every week for work that usually includes 2-3 scotch bonnets, a dozen Thai chillies and some naga chilli flakes. Every meal is Russian roulette of 'is it red pepper or scotch bonnet?'

I have also worked up to carolina reaper flakes on my cheese on toast.

Weirdly, I dont like hot Indian curries though.

And before anyone asks, my guts are golden. No issues.

I am absolutely horrible with spice!

I blame my Baltic heritage for that one. None of our foods are spicy

Haha every time I go to an Indian restaurant, they ask if I want different spice level that's not on on the menu 🤣 perks of being brown lmao

The inspo for the thread came from my daughter who solely lives on Korean cup noodles.

She was eating some new 2x spicy ones earlier, telling me how good they were while bouncing around the dining room. I've a feeling they were a bit spicy

When she's ready ask her if she wants chilli flakes sprinkled on top. A bit of an extra kick.

I adore good spicy food. So well seasoned. Hot. Cajun is my favourite followed by Caribbean. But don’t enjoy stuff that’s hot for hot sake. Ghost pepper and Carolina reaper type shit. Is exactly that….shit

Spicy food is my fav, Madras or Vindaloo hot but I do also love dishes with slightly less heat and more flavour.

Korma is just too bland to me and not a huge fan of the more buttery dishes.

I like a bit of chilli and spice.

I would normally order a Madras at an Indian restaurant. Vindaloo is edible but sometimes, depending on the restaurant, too much and therefore not enjoyable.

I like my food so i dont want it to be a challenge to consume it.
