Ice bath!

If it doesn't help the swelling reduce it will at least distract you thinking up lots of new swear words as you lower yourself in

Frozen peas, I hate cold things on me but when the itching gets really bad it's either rip your skin off or ice packs

Hope you get distracted soon

Was it a fruit bat, if so is it still hanging upside down under your ass ? Tempt it away with some sliced oranges.

Nurses aren't supposed to laugh...

"Of course I won't laugh," said the nurse. "I'm a professional. In over twenty years I've never laughed at a patient."

"Okay then," said Fred, and he proceeded to drop his trousers. Revealing the tiniest 'man thingy' the nurse had ever seen. Length and width, it couldn't have been bigger than the a AAA battery. Unable to control herself, the nurse started giggling, then fell to the floor laughing.

Ten minutes later she was able to struggle to her feet and regain her composure.

"I am so sorry," she said. "I don't know what came over me. On my honour as a nurse and a lady, I promise it won't happen again. Now, tell me, what seems to be the problem?'

..."It's swollen," Fred replied.

Get better soon minxie,, least its not man flu,,

You are not alone. I know 2 other people in the last week that seem to have been bitten by something and their foot or leg has swollen up for days.

Not sure if it is a new insect the UK causing the issue.

Antibiotics take a few days to get into the system, the steriod cream will help the inflamation,.and the piriton help the itch

then everything is failing spectacularly ........ have been on three lots of antihistamines since Monday and the itch is intense ............... and antibiotics - two days out of seven now .........and its spreading ........ god I wish I was normal

There's one little bugger that is not seen and the only effect is a bloody painful bite, like yours. The critter is a sand fly, tiny thing - gob on wings!

Sheffield

try a warm (not hot) bath with plenty of bicarbanate of soda and salt in.

I know natural live yogurt takes the sting out of sunburn. No idea if it would help but surely it can't hurt to try.
