Thread for people who don't enjoy going to the gym. You can do activities that don't involve the gym. Personally I get bored . If I'm going to be active I'd rather get buff doing something I enjoy.

I cant stand the gym. I would much rather go hiking or swimming. I do do a bit of weights at home though.

Id do calisthenics but I loft alot of heavy metal at work. Surfing, and rock climbing for me.

Generally don't work out as I have a fast metabolism. Find it abit vane.

It's not that i don't enjoy it, i lack the motivation because I have no idea what I'm doing. Stepping into a gym full of people who know how everything works and they have their little routines is daunting.

I secretly do like being a couch potato though!

Plenty of people who don't know what they are doing in gyms. Some people like to pretend they know what they are doing.

Find a routine online (YouTube, Tiktok etc) and copy it in the gym.

Or if you have the money, invest in a personal trainer for 6 months. You'll learn everything you need to and build a solid foundation.

Or go with a friend who's been in a gym for a while.

Just do it at home. Fuck paying. There's enough YouTube and other source videos. If you need equipment it's cheap enough.

I subsequently pay for YouTube premium to avoid adverts. I just don't like the gym. Like why drive to the gym when you can go for a walk.

I could never be one of those people who work out at home. When I'm in the house I'm in full couch potato mode.

I wish I enjoyed sofa time ! I only enjoy it if I'm with my daughter watching a movie or messing about..or with a lover having quality conversations, maybe a friend catching up. Otherwise you will rarely find me lounging around on the couch. I'm a doer, out and about and prefer bed with a book to couch.

My image of couch potato is vegging doing nothing or watching TV.

I mean I played guitar for like 16 hours one time. Could probably be abit more proactive with the day but I like think I'm alright at playing.
