I received a few shitty replies recently when I said I’m looking for fun connections on this site . Everyone is looking for different I get that but surely looking for a fun connection on this site is the norm?

It depends what you mean by "fun", if it means i just want to bang you then i am not interested. If it means i want to actually get to know you build some kind of connection with the possibility of fun at the end of it, i might be interested.

I think it may be the use of the word "fun"

Do you want to connect with someone who is into funfairs for example.

Or do you wish to connect with someone where you get along and ultimately wish to get naked with and fuck.

Both are fun. Many dislike the word fun, just say fuck or sex. It is afterall what you probably mean.

Oh and I am as guilty as the next person for using the term fun.

If it was in a 1:1 conversation in person it probably would. But i'm afraid on here it could mean anything and unfortunately the few bad apples make people a bit cynical so its best to explain what you mean by it a bit more.

I've had people say that very sentence to me and took it for face value only to then be immediately asked to "fuck now? I'll come to yours etc.

Yeah I definitely don’t mean let’s fuck now hahah but it’s good to see how other people would interpret it hence why I posted here . Definitely plenty to take on board moving forward though

Never assume any response to a message is purely down to the message.

For example, we get messages from people saying they're happy for bi play, yet have straight on their profile.

We get messages saying that safe sex is always a priority, from profiles with multiple pictures and videos showing otherwise.

We get messages from people saying they're local, when they're not, or that have 'can accomodate' listed yet go on to say they can't.

It's not always the message. It's usually something else that triggers a negative response. 🤷‍♂️

Yeah I get that and I never take rejection to heart just had a couple of responses that suggested the person is looking for a serious relationship here and that me not looking for that here is wrong . Good to hear what others think though

I make sure I find profiles that suggest they want similar things.

Profiles just saying fun connections feels very vague.

I like a slow approach, building a connection and friendship before anything else gets suggested. This equally isnt for everyone, and thats absolutely fine. It just works for me.
