Age limits

As much as I understand, singles and couples having an age limit on their profile. I do hate the 45 range, I'm 49 I see a profile I want to chat with but blocked. It makes me feel old and yet I'm in better shape than some 30yr olds.

It's a great shame......

People have age ranges and you just have to respect them.

Same as having to respect all their preferences..

A preference is a preference and doesn't need questioning

I do understand that and respect it.

I enjoy chatting and meeting socially with people on here, if we play then great but its not the first thing that comes to mind. It's just a shame that's all.

I feel the same, but just have to accept it. I do far better when I meet someone in person than rely on my profile here. 40-45 seems a common age cut off, so as a well kept 47 year old it is a little frustrating......

Socials ate a problem, I'm a shift worker and do a lot of evenings and nights. My fault I know but we all have bills to pay......

its happened here,we meet up with someone younger who goes you don't look your age etc,after chatting for a while and talking about stuff they find out we are not like other couples our age ie. we like going out,wearing nice clothes and have a flashy car so what they mean is we are not the usual i think. Anyway there loss.

I prefer mature guys but when a 74 year old tried to pass himself off as 58 I was no good I spent the whole meet suppressing hysterical laughter to be told I had a lovely smile.... pmsl

I'm a shift worker too. Just keep an eye on the socials page and see if any fall into your shift pattern or you can book time off.

They are perfect for what you describe.. Or maybe try clubs

Nice bum you have there. I increased both my age ranges only by a couple of years thinking it might give me some different choices or msgs from guys - haha. You look like you are doing ok though

Setting a narrow age range, simply reduces email numbers, as the op saw.

When I don't want as many emails I drop my age range right down. But the op shouldn't be trying to email those profiles he is outside the range of

Else what's the point of having a profile

Hate it when people say "their loss" I doubt they see it that way..

I'm an easy going guy, try not to mess people about. Do not think I'm special, would never say their loss and I don't think it was ment that way. I think it was to make me and others over 45, who are in good shape know there still good.

no Brenda,they set parameters and then find out theres people they like outside them,so its their loss for doing that

I've said it a fair few times but will say it again.

IF people read and respected the profile requirements, then people wouldn't be so strict on age range or other filters.

Sadly people do not, so a filter is needed and then used. (Age, or which ever)

I have a life, and will worry about what is happening within it. I search for the diamonds, yes I might be 'missing out' but then I miss out on winning the lottery and what not so I am not going to worry about what could have been 'if'

I actually prefer older men, previously my age filters were set to 33 - 60. So when I see the posts from the younger men looking, again I just smile.

Yes that might be what they are looking for, good for them.... what I am looking for is different and I find it, just quietly

There's many a single/couple that have age limits set to 35 - and being 37 myself do you know what I do?

I interact with those that don't - rather than worry about the whys and why nots!

There will always be profiles that DO match you. Just concentrate on them. No point in spending time thinking "what if?" because its highly unlikely anyone would change their filters based on a forum thread!
