My two live away so it's pretty straightforward. I'm sure it's difficult for many with a younger family though. Daytime meets seem popular with many.

It's quite easy when there are kids living at home. When they are younger they don't understand but you have the issue of getting sitters. If the kids are teens and above, they can be more inquisitive and start asking questions.

I always had to pack 2 bags, stuff I would wear to a club/party etc ( hid this in the car a day or so beforehand) and my overnight bag.

Rarely accommodated anyone,

Oldest isn't old enough to leave of an evening but to old for sleepovers at my parents anymore so us going out has completely reduced. Not impossible but a lot of effort to sort.

I’m not, but I don’t see any reason to hide it from them once they’re old enough to know right from wrong. They should be able to accept their parents for who they are. Who knows, some of them might even be interested in that lifestyle themselves.

Not really the oldest don't live at home,the youngest is too young to understand...my daughter just thinks I go out lots.

I don't accommodate so I hide it that way.

When they were small I could bring people back. Now that is not possible if they are in, and going out to meet someone may raise questions.

It just depends how you approach it. Polly's daughter used to drive is to and pick us up from clubs (as long as I bought her a McDonalds

), whereas my children are younger and dont know (they stay with their mam and at mine occasionally), so when I put a hook up in my bedroom door for a sex swing they inevitably asked "what's the hook for dad?", so I had to buy a decoy punch bag and pull up bar and tell them I was on a health kick

I don't. All five and their various spouses/partners know.

In fact, was round my eldest daughter's, she was completing an online form for me, and when it came to the sexual orientation box she ticked bisexual without any prompting. I looked at her with surprise and she just said "Oh, I've known for ages, I'm observant" 🤷🏾‍♂️

We go to clubs and our children just think we're going "out". Meets are usually done in the day while they're at school. If in the evening one of us stays home. We make it work for us.

I have 3 adult sons and never been an issue as I only used to have them occasionally, my youngest does live me when he is home from uni ,but I don't usually meet at mine , lincolnshire is a bit of a dead spot for fabbers lol

Very difficult if you put events you're attending in a shared calendar forgetting who it's shared with.

But thankfully our kids know we won't lie to them, if they want to ask questions. The only question they have to answer is do they want to know the answer.

My kids are still under 18, they know I'm polyamorous but it would be inappropriate to discuss my sex life with them.... and i cant really see how that would change when they're adults. I suppose if, when adults, they outright asked me the question "mum have you ever been to a swingers club" I would say yes, but I can't imagine a situation where anything more than that very basic level of information is shared.

As for keeping it hidden, i would guess they'll still be living with me in to their early 20s at least, in which case I'll be "going out to see some friends" - not a lie, and all the detail they'll need. I don't host when they're here anyway, that won't change.
