Earlier I read someone's cut off time for a reply to a message is a hour. Clearly it's stuck with me.

How long are you happy to wait for a reply before you decide to leave it? The person isn't interested?

Well if I send a message I just wait for a reply. Can be 5 minutes or a week. But I dont send another message until they've replied and if they dont reply thats fine plenty of other people to chat too

I would say its all contextual i know we all have lives but if i had been talking to someone for a while and thinking about meeting and he was online 24/7 and not replying to me i would start to think maybe i should bounce.

If its just beggining to chat then ive know me pick up again a week later if there busy but then again if that was all the time i would struggle to build any connection so would also probably bounce out eventually.

Sorry for the long answer, i suppose definitive answer is it can be different depending on who it is and the situation.

But probably more than a week and i would lose interest.

24h - I don’t think one message a day is unreasonable if you’re looking to get to know them and meet soon.

People I like but live too far away, it’s just nice if they think of me and drop a message every now and again, as I do too.

I do the same. People have lives outside of Fab, may actually not be online even though they are showing as on, or may be chatting to someone else. I can forget to reply, and I am aware that at least one of the people that I speak to ends up not reading messages and her inbox gets so full that there is a mass delete - so eventually get an email, but it has nothing to do with my last one.

Little brain, pfffft. I like waffly answers. After reading that thread earlier I was thinking about it and then found out that some of my friends also have a very short window.

And then ta da. The thread appeared.

It depends on the dynamic and what it is you're looking for. My favourite people and I can go weeks without talking but when we do it's easy.

There's no right or wrong answer really, it's about compatibility.

If it was on a run up to a meet and they were online a lot I'd probably be pissed thay they didn't respond with a decent time frame but I've usually moved the chat elsewhere and have a decent build up on the run upto meeting

She was not been realistic in the fact there's a lot of people have jobs but they cannot be on their phone or are looking after someone and can't drop everything to reply. Or simply be driving for over an hour.

I hit delete very swiftly and if they try to revive the chat I block.

I don't play games or waste anyone's time.

I'm generally pretty easy when it comes to replies, God knows I can take while to do so but a lot of that is due to being busy and wanting to think about them properly and I appreciate if they do the same. That can be a couple of days or even a week but if they don't reply, that's ok too and my inbox are always open if they wanted to resume our chat.

I cant really say anything as I can take ages to reply on here sometimes. Off of here I'm a bit better, if we're in the middle of a conversation and they took an age to reply to the last message then thats frustrating, but just normal how are you doing messages a reply anytime is fine for me.

I’ll hold my hands up to being one of the nightmare ones.

I might read, go away to think 💭 about a reply (only because I have a habit of sending ‘knee jerk’ replies) then I get distracted, have to deal with home life / work commitments, the message then disappears down the bottomless list and I end up not replying.

I’m sure there is a way for others to remember but I have a goldfish memory and have yet to figure out how to do this. This is also in non Fab life too 🤷🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️

Anything up to a week. Everyone has busy lives. And most women have bulging inboxes so sometimes takes them a while to filter through. Actually quite nice having that surprise inbox message from someone you had messaged thinking they were not interested and boom - wake up to a message. Rather a delayed reply than no reply
