I think we used bepanthenen on one of our kids when they had an operation. The surgeons recommended it and it seems to be good.

Highway 61

I had a hand tattoo done a few years ago in Caracas .... After much debating and gesturing with obvious lingo issues in a pharmacy type of place I left with cream that did the trick , both for the healing process and itching ..... I was later informed that the ointment was in fact pile cream !! ..... it did work a treat though ......

try it, its like a blue gel, works in the same way as after sun I guess, takes the sting out the burn, feels cold when you apply it and cools your skin down

Or slap it. Or try putting something cold on it.

I've never met a tattooist yet that recommends Vaseline, everyone I've ever spoke to says avoid Vaseline.

I just had one done at NY Ink and he said soap and water twice a day and a good moisturiser... I've had two before both wrapped in cling film with germoline and they were fine but I took his advice and it worked a treat.

I hate Bepanthan, it's greasy, horrid and doesn't come off well. I just wash with soapy water twice a day and put E45 cream, or another flavour free moisturiser on as often as needed. Never had any problems yet.

I used bepanthen once and the tattoo got infected (probably just bad luck), every other time I've used Preparation-H. Yes, its pile cream but it stops infection, promotes healing and stops the itching...

Ive always used Bepanthan as well, Vaseline draws out the colour so don't see why anyone would say to use it. I also do the slapping rather than scratching when it gets itchy haha
