I think there's a very fine line.

I want to be told how much someone is looking forward to meeting me, how much they like/fancy me etc, it's a good feeling. I wouldn't want anyone to hide their feelings towards me. Having said that, there has been times where I've been put off someone like this because it felt less flattering and more heading towards creeper territory.

As for messaging. I don't mind it. I can exchange a few messages back and forward daily if I like someone enough. I'm not going to chat ALL day though. I'd like to keep some conversations for when we meet.

I like some excitement but there's a balancing act to be had. If they acted like they didn't mind I'd rather they didn't bother. If they were too excited to meet me and every chat featured that, I'd find it overwhelming.

When people like people they can be a bit daft though, can't they? Over the years I've read a fair few flouncing posts. Know that limerence can happen. I've upset people by talking about long term partners before.

Although it would put me off, I'd try and not be a dick about it. Handle it with grace or try to.

I want to be wanted. I love when someone is excited to see me. I like the flirty chat in between us seeing each other , I even like the daily messages or things that let me know they are thinking of me.

I don't want to hold back on being excited about someone either.

However,I'm absolutely terrified of having my heart broken again so I also need to protect it.

If they told me they didn't want to see anyone else I'd be surprised, I'd worry if I could be enough. Equally, there's part of me that does find them seeing others hard at times. I'm happy for them, I want them to have fun, but there's always the thought in the back of my mind that, I'll be replaced! Someone's always going to be better than me so my own insecurity needs to be kept in check!

Guess that's where communication is so important.

Having been in that situation I'd avoid it now. I do like regular contact but not so much that it becomes a ritual. Also it depends on the person too. Some like to chat. Some maybe a message here or there. You can generally tell which style they come under. Both are good for me. And I definitely don't need to know about their business. No need for discussion about other people, and whether they are or aren't meeting. If they choose to tell me they aren't meeting anyone else. Thats fine but it has no impact on what I do.

If it's leading up to a meet, then I don't mind it as it's a great bit of foreplay to raise the sexual tension but if it's for the sake of it, then I'll lose interest really quickly.

As with most things there's a Goldilocks zone of keenness. I try to match the other person's frequency of messaging as long as it feels reasonable. However, I suffer from, and understand, new person excitement and love it when the conversations feels mutually endless because there's so much to find out about each other early on.

As long as it results in a physical meet-up (not necessarily sexual) I'm happy to continue talking to a real person.

Saying that, I went through exactly this with someone here recently and found myself blocked somewhat randomly one day. Maybe I should've gone to see her sooner, who knows what lesson I'm supposed to learn from that so here I am overthinking. 🤷‍♂️

Based on my Fab experience and my relationship status, I would expect them to be seeing other people.

If they became to clingy or had unrealistic expectations, I would start to withdraw.

I would actively prefer the other person to be seeing other people.

Admittedly I'd rather that wasn't the entire site, or the night before they met with me

but monogamy (for me) should be reserved for a relationship.

I'm happy with regular conversation, but it doesn't need to be daily.

It might be pleasantries, it might be some flirting or reminiscing of hot memories or something a bit more.

I'm not here for 1 word answers and having to work for conversation, just as much as I'm not here for a running commentary on their life!

It's not about being keen, it's about being realistic. It's weird to me how people demand so much of your time and energy when they don't even know you like that. If your friends or in a relationship with someone then sure communication needs to be a compromise but if you dont fall into any of those categories, don't be popping up my phone.. its annoying.
