Anyone into lucid dreaming?

I’ve been at it for a while now, keeping a dream journal and doing reality checks to improve recall and awareness.

Still feel like I’m learning though, so curious what’s actually worked for other people. Any tips or experiences worth knowing?

Worthing

I've had lucid dreams and told people in it I am dreaming. I have willed myself into a dream situation as an experiment. It did scare me and I've not done it since.

I wouldn't underestimate your ability to will yourself into a dream. Not even one can do that! Takes a high level of awareness and visualization to do this

I've been trying to become lucid during a dream, teaching myself to question reality on a daily basis.

So in theory, when the aliens comes to my door and ask for a cuppa during my dream I can realise I'm in a dream that way lol

You've probably had a dream but haven't been able to recall it. All you need to do is set the intention before bed to remember it. Practise that and after a while you'll remember certain aspects of your dream. If you're super switched on you'll click that you're dreaming and voila you're lucid dreaming. You can then interact with the dream world and do what you want ... And yes, certain activities feel the same as waking life

if you've had sleep paralysis, you're already halfway into the dream world without realising it. It's basically your mind waking up before your body does

Titz Towers, North Notts

I once had an almost out of body experience. I'm not entirely sure what I'd call it.

I was watching Scott Bennett, the best comedian in the country. And at that time I was very familiar with his set and whilst watching him chop and change it whilst trying new material, I was projected into a, like a circuit diagram of his set, with the various routes from one joke into another and how he'd loop round for the call back. It was similar to being top down over a road system or a circuit and clearly seeing all of his possible routes. It was a strange feeling

How far have you gotten towards ob?

When you leave your body and enter the "dream" places, whether its other planets or pocket dimensions, your physical brain enters a specific state, the best way to remember more, is that when you get back into the body you do not move it. This enables you to keep that brainwave state and recall things over and over.

This is whats called building the bridge. Simultaneously being aware of consciousness being aware of itself and the body brain connection.

The more you practice building this bridge the faster and deeper meditations will get enabling access to the epsilon and lamda brainwave states.

The more you bridge, the more you build that space the more easily you can access lucidity too.

I would avoid inviting aliens for tea if I were you.

Lol - I've had some really vivid astral projection/OBE. I've rolled out of my body and stood above myself as I've slept. It was frightening at the time and hard to comprehend. I jumped back into bed and into my body and I woke up.

I've had a few other occasions where I've made it out the door and down the street. They always end with me climbing back into my body.

Usually listen to binual beats, theta and delta waves. I've tried a whole load of different frequencies.

From my understanding the best result comes from headphones, playing a mediation with a certain frequency in on ear and another frequency in the other ear. The brain combines the two and finds itself on a very deep hypnagogic state

Binaurals are one way yes, but you'll get better results from white noise.

Binaurals is like hopping out of body with training wheels on, it doesn't train you to do it naturally. Switch up meditation tracks and such with white noise every other.

But if you're getting out of body, why the hell would you walk anywhere?

You know you can teleport and fly right?

Solid advice Mr DreamGPT lol

Sleep paralysis is a natural biproduct of the body having no consciousness in it, its part of the process of separation.

You cannot leave the body and leave it to keep running just incase you harm yourself somehow. So the body enters this state for protection just as you're leaving it.

However its also a pretty easy way to incapacitate a flesh suit you're about to abduct, so. yeah, theres that...

Entities...they enjoy fucking with ppl too.

You probably have dreamed but not recalled them. We have REM type sleep periods 3 or 4 times a night.

I started lucid dreaming in my adolescence and spent a lot of time developing it. I get them a few times a month, when I direct the development of the dreams and enjoy them.

Our sleep is certainly essential for our well-being and so, if we can use some of that resource to help us gain more from our life, I'm all for it.
