Before I even open the message, I scrutinise the profile. If it doesn’t suit in any way, I just delete the message. If it looks promising, I’ll open it and take it from there

In your privacy settings you can "hide yourself from profile views"

So they can look at your profile without showing on the 'who looked at me'

A lot of women and couples look in "ninja" mode (meaning they don't show on "who looked at me" page). This stops any "you looked at my profile, fancy a fuck?" type of messages and allow us to perve profiles in peace, however often we want to.

Answering your original question, OP- the message that piques my interest would refer to my profile bio, not just photos (unless, of course, they are just interested in the gloves from my pics). It would need to show me how the person fits in what I'm currently looking for - my profile is very specific at present as I'm after something very specific. If it's just "hi", "how are you", or text speak which I despise (you're not paying per letter- those old enough to know what a telegram was would know what I'm referring to, and no, it's not the instant messaging app), or long message where it's a clear copy and paste are absolutely pointless.

I do block people that do not fit in what I'm looking for - saves us both time.

Different people will have different reasons why they do/don't reply.

Me personally if I find the person attractive and they have sent a message that isn't "hi", crude or says anything weird or offensive.

However it's looks first for me, because if I don't find someone attractive then a good message won't sway me.

I think that goes without saying, but when i message women that don’t have much of a bio and only a couple of photos and you still get ignored I feel like it starts to become aware that it’s very much more than just a sex website, when it comes to the point of it being a sex website, you will not increase your search radius to 50 miles if you’re horny now

most swingers clubs you can join once you turn 21, some have their limit set at 25. It's not that hard to join, there are plenty of threads about that. You're going to need to choose the club you're interested in, contact them, follow their requirements for single men membership, apply online or in person (much more rare option nowadays); pay your membership fee, choose your event following the requirements for single men to attend events (most clubs require men to book) and attend.

I used filters to keep mail low and still delete 90% of the messages I get. Because they have no pics, haven't read my bio or are miles away etc,so haven't read what I'm lookomh for.

A good message for me, shows you've read my profile and maybe commented on what they've liked about it. Not in a crude way either.
