I’d disagree if they are getting 100s of messages. Just not practical. I would imagine a reply would come from a combination of things. Whether they find you physically attractive, they like your profile, and the message you sent. Sometimes it’s not to be. I wouldn’t get annoyed about it. Just enjoy with the many others on here you might connect with.

I used to date a "popular "lady who was one here and she had many filters on but still got literally hundreds of messages , and it made it nigh on impossible to reply to them all , it was even time consuming for her to delete them !

Personally if I send a message and they do t open or reply after a few days I simply Block them , saves waisting both parties time

Not sure its them being ignorant , but some profiles I do believe are just after an ego boost and love the attention. So best not to feed there needs if it's effecting you

The main reason I don’t reply to messages to say “no thanks” is that it then allows them to bypass my filters. And while most people graciously accept being turned down, a significant proportion try to change your mind, ask for reasons why or become abusive.

Also, I would find a whole load of rejection really disheartening. Better to delete the messages from your sent box so that you’re not checking.

I did an experiment several years ago - spent a set amount of time saying no thank you to almost all messages where I wasn't interested (some were so vile it was an instant block), then the same amount of time deleting without replying.

I received a lot more abuse when I did reply.

The rule in the FAQs exists for a reason. As I say every time this thread comes up, you'll adapt, or you won't. It won't change.

I get where you’re coming from mate, but I think a lot of people underestimate just how many messages women and couples get on here 😅

Sometimes it’s not even personal — they’ve either got flooded inboxes, don’t know what to reply, or they’ve had a quick look and thought ‘not for me’ and moved on.

Would a polite ‘no thanks’ be nice? Of course. But I also don’t think anyone’s intentionally trying to be rude most of the time. Patience, a decent profile and a message with a bit of personality goes a long way on here 🍻

Even then, assuming you do, chances are your message will just be deleted

People get used to receiving the same, boring,thoughtless messages time and again

I've held online profiles for 20+ years and it's never changed, it is not peculiar to Fab, people are inately standard in their approaches

So, unless I open a message, read it, look at your profile, think yeah I'd consider meeting this person, then yes, your message is getting deleted

We always reply to messages from guys who read our profile.

We class a message as more than a few words like 'Wot u up 2'

About 95% don't read our profile, but we do try to reply if message is more than a sentence long.

Most guys are very, very pleasant and deserve a response and most of the time we get a positive response in return.

In the real world we always say hello to guys we meet on nudist beaches etc and find engaging is the best road forward and not to call these men Meerkats or other derogatory names.

As far as we are concerned they have as much right to wander around nudist beaches or clubs as we do.

But if they have 1000 messages, that's 2000 minutes. Which is 33hrs 20 minutes. Or 1.39 days.

And then they'd have to deal with the follow up "But why" messages.

No reply is a reply. Its not ignorant. Expecting a reply, however might be.

OP, you started this thread 3-4 hours ago asking a question and you’ve had roughly 100 replies, yet you haven’t engaged with a single one. Does that not feel a little hypocritical to you?

I also see you have four verifications in the last six months, so things can’t be going that badly for you.

I also also see from a previous thread you started that you feel Andrew Tate is just “Misunderstood”. That position alone is likely to alienate at least a few people who feel he is a toxic influence on their target audience.

I also also also see you have started at least two threads lamenting the apparent decline of fab. I wonder if it’s time you found another happy place?

My standard reply to "can I ask you a question" is "You just did"

Funnily enough it often stops them in their tracks and I get nothing else.
