I had them when I was young,and all because I loaned my classmate my comb.Do they still have that horrible comb with the teeth very close together.??

Kids get them.. lol I actually still comb my kids hair once a week for the older ones and before bed for the youngest.

I got sick of my girl getting them she now wears a sprayed in tightly pinned doughnut in her hair for school every day not had them since....franch plaits work also...but not much ya can do for boys

Eeeeek my two year old has them too, they go to the same nursery,

I've rang the doctors and they've already done prescriptions

Don't think my older kids are going to be very impressed when I greet them with a nit comb

Yes they also have electronic zapping ones know but I daren't use it on the little ones as it can catch the ears and neck

My grandkids used to get them all the time. Vosene now do a shampoo with tea tree oil in which seems to be working xx

your doctor did a prescription for lotion? Lucky you. I've never been offered that. Just pop to chemist and buy it. But I also use tea tree shampoo and conditioner for the kids

Leave in conditioner can help. Buy a bottle of tea tree oil and add a dozen drops to the conditioner too.

When dave and I first got together, my kids got them, he wasnt impressed when he had to have the treatment too, hed never had them before. What a welcome to the family, love me, love my kids and thier nits. Mind I do like squishing the little buggers

mum would use the comb, which hurt! and check after each pass

any nits that got caught in it were squished with the end of her nail

Man I remember those days. Both my girls had long hair so I was always on their case about checking their hair.. Not nice, but thankfully they are both grown now so don't have that issue anymore!

My mum was engaged to a guy and grassland that his kids came to stay with us we would all have to be on hand with nit combs. As soon as we got rid lengthen they would go back to their mum's ans get them again. She didn't seem to care much.

There are loads of products now that can kist be bought from the chemist, it's just the norm when they are little. I always got used to using tea tree conditioner and a nit comb as a precaution
