There's barely an ad that I can hear or watch now without wincing, cringing or hitting mute buttons....

There's so many it MUST be me - or is it?

It’s getting to the point where programmes are interrupting the adverts.

I find SKY particularly annoying when watching streaming content. Do they assume that everyone is an industrialist or a billionaire: their adverts are mostly about wealth management, investment and, strangely, about CRM or B2B enterprise grade software platforms.

I mean, is the average family really concerned about Salesforce™.

Bring back Shake n' Vac. It's all you have to do.

No it's not just you. Adverts are really poor these days. Often I don't even know what they are trying to sell. When I grew up in the 70s and 80s thy were a lot more creative. Remember the milk adverts with Benny Hill? ... 'Watch out there's a Humphrey about' ... No!... Must be my age.

Adverts are constant now it's doing my head in.

I tried to watch something on Amazon prime yesterday and it went to a 2 minute advert every 10 minutes it made it totally unwatchable.

Sometimes the ads are longer than the video. 5 minute YouTube clip, 10 minutes of ads. How does that make sense?

Should we protest, or boycott for a year?

I find charity adverts especially frustrating.

You're sat there, trying to relax and be at peace, then suddenly you've got scenes of harrowing suffering being beamed into your eyeballs.

There seems to be some atrocious adverts that I loath6. Humour that isn't funny and people trying to be unusual, that's cringe inducing

couple, us we him her.

What annoys me th most is:

Forced diversity, every single advert is a mixed raced couple in a fantastic house.

I've nothing against diversity in fact I'm all for it but these ads are just not a realistic representation of society, they ram this fake agenda down our throat's every minute of the day.

I don't care what colour, gender or whatever people are but if they are going to sell us a product make it about the product not a political agenda.

I know I'm going to get moans about this post but yeah.

Yes op!

There is a number of adverts I cannot stand on a radio show I listen to, come to think of it, I can't stand some of the presenters either!

Why does it annoy you? Surely the colour and gender of people in adverts is inconsequential.

The colour of someone in an advert you're not interested in watching seems an odd thing to get annoyed about.

Hmmm, I'm obviously not deemed as likely a potential billionaire client as you, I don't get the wealth management ads I do however get the Salesforce and Contentful ads and had the same thought

Soon ultra smart TVs and the AI internet of everything will mean the adverts you see will be specific for you. Could be embarrassing.

What you may not know, if you are watching via Sky, Freesat, Freeview, and any streaming service, is during the advert break you may be getting personalised adverts, via your broadband connection, based on your registration data. You Box does all the switching, without you even knowing,it doesn’t happen that often but happen it certainly does

Most of you spoke about the frequency of ads...... I shouldve been clear that I meant the content ...

e.g. I listen to LBC ...... that woman who advertises how wonderful AMAZON is ... I want to do bad things when I hear her..

Amazon I love, Her voice NOOOOOOOOOO

I think the other truly irritating thing is turning the TV up, so I can hear the programme and then all of a sudden there's an ad break and the ads are shouting at me... really gets on my tits. I'm sure it must be intentional...
