Well, changing IP is as easy as pie - you dont even have to be an IT expert. Going back to blocks - I guess I can see why some people use the facility to stop them mailing the same people again but then you would end up with a long list in some cases.

A lot, not counting though. For various reasons too. But yes, mainly repeat occasions from messages where other party's memory must have slipped when we,ve declined their advance to chat/have fun. 1,2,3 or 4 times. We also block when we,ve been dear john'd as a means not to bother them again.

Just counted mine, actually there are about 25 on the list but acquired over 4 years or so and severeal are multiples of the same profiles so effectively only about a dozen or so.

Don't understand the attitude about how blocking is a bad thing. It's a site facility. No idea how many I have but must be upwards of 200.

I block when I am pestered or bothered or abused. Don't see why I should put up with that when I am polite.

Its a different screen when you're blocked to when they've used a filter

I thought that if you blocked them, and they left the site, they vanish off your block list.

Actually they do. A certain few repeat returners have to be entered into my block list when they return and their old handles go from the list

As I've often said - to me it's just another filter - nothing personal (ok - sometimes it is!!).

I proactively block those I know I'll never be interested in. Cuts down on those appearing in my searches and updates - and should they stumble across me somehow I've saved them the time and effort of messaging when the response would be a no!

As I've often said - to me it's just another filter - nothing personal (ok - sometimes it is!!).

Yes I can see that would b quite a good idea all round n I guess over four years it's only 750 a year so about two a day (ish) . Er have I got the maths right?

You never know who you might find on here..Imagine my shock when I got a message from my big brother ( he still isn't aware I'm here).....Thankfully he had a face pic on his profile ....

I occasionally have a thing for blind and spontaneous meetings...particularly love to meet like that at hotels.....imagine how that might have been lo!!.....anyway he's now safely blocked....

Over 300, most are the been a member for over a year, no pics and will fill this in later variety. A few who we have no intention of meeting.

We have never blocked anyone for sending abusive messages etc, guess we have been lucky.

A few but my block list is made of 2 types of members. Those who the block list was intended for & those who specificaly put no to me in thier profile.

Not sure if the latter is the correct use of it but it does prevent me from messaging them and them from messaging me
