Helping a fab friend

Hypothetical questions- I'm not angling for accommodation.

How well would you need to know a fab "friend" to have them stay at yours for a week?

Gender aside, you've never met only chatted online, they have no other options.

Would you do it? you may have already done it

Personally I wouldn't as you can have such a different vibe in person and my kids live with me.

If I was living alone and got really friendly with someone who was stuck i might think differently about it.

No, I wouldn't do it.

I spent years warning our kids against meeting people they'd only spoken to on the net in not about to do something that fact myself.

Unlikely to, I know a couple of friends that have helped someone out like that and it’s backfired on them, and caused lots of problems. And that was with people they knew

I wouldn't. Very risky. Especially in this day and age. Man or woman. Even if she's on my hotlist. It's a trap!

I like to help people out. But if someone genuinely needed accomodation for a week I would not consider someone approaching me from a sex site. Surely there are more appropriate routes.?

It’s a no from me, it’s great having a fab female friend or couples visit for an evening of fun but I value my privacy and single lifestyle

I dunno, I didn't think that far ahead.

Well if they were a friend of any kind id like to think they'd chip in and actively look for a new abode throughout the day 🤷🏻‍♂️

No. And a week could turn into two, could turn into difficult to get rid off.

And maybe ask yourself why someone on a sex site is their last option? No other friends? No other family? No other options?

Absolutely not.

I don't like guests in my house at the best of times. Never mind someone I've never met.

I do have a tent though! They are welcome to kip in the back garden and I'm happy to provide bacon rolls and tea.

No, not at all. We would therefore be incompatible.

Only one person has accommodated me and she is one of my closest, oldest (Fab ti_eline) and dearest friends. I already knew her from a previous date (hotel) but even then my first visit to her home was in the company of a third, mutual friend, before we were left alone to our overnight pleasures. That's an exception for me; I wouldn't stay with anyone else.

That bacon sounds nice.

Absolutely not.

1. I wouldn't be planning to spend a week with someone I'd never met and I certainly wouldn't want them in my house.

It is! You can have some as long as you're happy with the dog potentially pissing on the tent in the morning.

I'd have to know someone well, in person, before I let them into my home at all, let alone staying even one night.

This happened!!! It was a years ago now. We had chatted loads, been on two socials and he messaged one night while i was moving house. Asked if i had a spare room. When i said i did for now, he TOLD ME he was staying, turned up a short while later with a canoe on the roof of his car and everything he owned. Stayed for either a long weekend or a week im not sure.

Hed been an instructor in the army, kids (under 19, army college students) were 'graduating' and the other instructors left the bar leaving him there with the 'youngesters' which got him reported for fratanising with underage youth, disaplined, kicked off base while they investigated and moved to another unit at the opposite end of the country.

No. It's most unlikely to get an overnight stay, if I've met and know you.

I'd absolutely not entertain giving home access if I've never met. I can provide hotel details, etc
