Do you have one every sunday as a routine? Or just now and again?

What you having on it? Whats your perfect sunday lunch.

Mines roasted lamb, mashed and roast potatoes(carb overload) all the trimmings. And a big homemade yorkshire with gravy made with the juices and a dash of mint sauce. 🤤🤤🤤

Yes, we either cook one or go out to a local public house.

Last Sunday we went into the city for a delicious roast.

I make a good roast, usually chicken though prefer beef. I don't do it often as it seems pointless to do it just for myself lol.

I don't have a routine Sunday Lunch. I eat food. I repeat.

If I had to choose a meal for every Sunday it would be:

Roast chicken with slightly spicy seasoning, fat sweet potato chips with skin on, lamb seek kebabs (the long thin ones), mini samosas (chicken, lamb and veg) and chutney.

For dessert I would have cheesecake and some tea.

I only have one every once in a while.

It's too much faffing around cooking it all, then the mountain of washing up to do afterwards.

Roasties are the best part anyway.

Not every Sunday but most. When we do, it's about having it cooked well (veg not overcooked, etc), nice gravy and a variety of veg, rather than specific dishes. Will sometimes have a meatless roast and just enjoy the veg.

Today it will be a butter chicken curry that I cooked last night but we weren't hungry enough to do it justice.

I absolutely love cooking, but Sunday roasts do my head in. Spend half the day back and forth and it's cheaper and just as nice to go for a carvery ..and zero washing up!
