Sunday morning, should be nice and lazy right?

Coffee, dreaming about that bacon sandwich that hasn't yet shown up (with brown sauce thanks)..

Not much going on and the only thing on the box worth looking at is the news...

COME ON!!!!

Why oh why is regular tv so dire????

Cos they've spread the budget so thinly they can only afford the veneer of a show unless they can con the general public in to phoning a premium rate number.....TV is dying in its arse except for a few shows

Tonight looks great too, with Marple and the White Queen starting. Perfect Sunday night television.

I only have normal TV and I can't complain about the schedules. Admittedly the daytime schedule can be grim, but most people are at work or off doing something, if I'm off I normally put on one of our great BBC radio stations.

"Moto gp on ordinary tv in a few minutes, im not complaining. "

Motogp died when they switched to 4 strokes...

Half the power, heavier and they sound pathetic compared to a 500cc 4 cylinder stroker going 12000rpm with the doc on board.

I tend to avoid using the "ON" button on my television altogether and, instead boot up the "House/world" facility on my home and walk through it, and hey,, there is all sorts of crazy and interesting stuff going on out there,, it is all in HD and 3D, totally interactive and completely free to air. LOL

Too much traction control on today's bikes, top speed is amazing but riders are no where near as skilled as the 2 strokes

Or use Iplayer, another brilliant BBC idea

Sky commision less production in the UK than Channel 4 and pay NO tax. I do not intend to pay an immoral Australian **** good money for Americanised s***

Sky are one of the top paymasters in uk TV. Direct commissions is mainly sport but they spend a huge amount working directly with production companies who in turn hire loads of crew and facilities. I'm no fan of a lot of sky, but if you want to look at poor investment then the BBC is so biased towards and against certain regions (midlands pays 25% of the beebs budget in licence fee yet gets less than 3% in production and local programming) and ITV are even worse.

Without Sky, the UK would be at least 3 years behind in terms of HD transmission and infrastructure as they have invested hundreds of millions in development and equipment- far more than all the other big boys in UK TV combined (excluding virgin who were more interested in the broadband market but bundled HD transmission into the investment)

I'm hoping that the White Queen will be good, but knowing Phillipa Gregory's work and being an amateur student of the period ( i was a Wars Of The Roses re-enactor for 10yrs) I'm not convinced it will be good TV let alone accurate. The costumes look pretty poor from what I've seen so far.

well... to be honest the US is no better on a sunday morning... it has always been the politics shows, then the sports would be on... be that nfl, baseball or golf.....

and there is absolutely nothing wrong with pay TV at all... in fact I am guessing most of the american drama you watch isn't made by one of the 4 free tv providers.... all the good stuff is either made by HBO or Showtime

Well, that was an hour wasted!

The White Queen - what an absolute pile of dross that was.

C17th clothing, C12th armour and C18th rococo furnishings???
