"Make sure you have Power of Attorney (1. properly & finance 2. health & welfare) in place to save so much frustration & heartache for your family should you lose your mental capacity. It means they can access your finances to pay your bills etc… You don’t need a Solicitor, it can all be done online & costs @£90 each to register. Also take out a common tenancy agreement , where by you sign half of your house over to your child or children , this stops the the government taking your house away , should you require to go in a care home J x" | |||

I think it applies to young people as well when you see yourself in a category that limits your choices in life. There are some real constraints of course but most are just assumed, I can't make C level in my 20s, I'm too old to retrain in my 50s, both of those are nonsense | |||

The thing about being older is that mostly you just don't care if you do look ridiculous. I just can't bring myself to call people bro and being a woman makes it even dafter. 'Dude' is another one. I'd love to look at a guy who has done something stupid, raise an eyebrow and say "dude!" Lim that tone of voice | |||
