Hello all, I've not long purchased an eMountain bike, 2025 Scott Patron with the Gen 5 Bosch Cx motor.

Who else is into this sort of thing?

I live in Notts but looking to go to Sherwood forest at some point.

Any tips etc for a first time eBiker? This is my first time riding a bike in 20+ years

They should be subject to the same laws and restrictions as a petrol engine motor bike

A proper e-mtb is, the power is only for assistance, and it shouldn’t be self propelled. With a maximum speed limit of I think it’s about 15mph.

The problem is all the electric dirt bikes or illegally modified bikes, and by law they do require a license and insurance. Not that most of the people using them have that

They already are.

Unless a bike is EAPC-compliant, it's classed as an electric motorcycle.
