The best puppet

I love a good puppet, who doesn't? People with pupaphobia that's who. Anyway they've hopefully read the title and are staying away.

Anyway who is your favourite puppet? All types of puppet are eligible for your consideration.

Mine is Yoda in Empire Strikes Back when he's just a cantankerous old green alien.

This is really tough. A lot of good shows and films from my childhood had some form of puppet. I'm going to choose Gizmo from Gremlins.

I suppose he is, wasn’t 100% with it being predominantly a costume but then there’s Big Bird, Snuffy, Oscar and Bruno and a whole host of others.

According to Wikipedia Hoggle is a puppet but Big Bird isn't, I think the distinction is about whether the person inside is doing everything.

In Hoggle's case the whole face movements and voice were done by people outside the suit, whereas the person in Big Bird did it all so that's just a costume. Could be wrong though.
