Is there any point having the "meet today' feature available to single male profiles?

Im just wondering if there's any use in having this option available to men, are there any guys out there who have used this and its actually brought them a meet? I feel this is a useless feature for guys and probably only works for women and couples lol

I've been here almost five years and only ever used it twice. Both were for potential coffee socials with forum folk if I happen to be in the area, and not for sex.

It's useful to let people know you are available. Some people use it for socials, impromptu meets or when plans fall through and they need a plan B.

Yes it's good to let ppl know your available but I'd love to hear from any single guy who's used it and it's directly resulted in a lady or a couple dropping him a message saying they want to meet now, I doubt there are many, but if a lady or a couple use it I would think they would get lots of correspondence lol

Absolutely mate! Single guys should speak to other single guys more, help each other out, and network etc. 👌

You already have guessed this is a feature single ladies and couples use successfully. A sf friend of mine never failed to get meets this way, and usually had to take the ‘meet today’ listing down pretty quickly, as her inbox would be overrun 🫣 It used to depress me when I never got any responses, but hey-ho, that’s just single guy life in Fab 😞

I don't know about anyone else, but for me, it kinda says "I'm desperate." for the men folk.

For a lady, it kinda says "God I'm bored"

As I say, it's just my way of looking at this function.

I generally perceive it to be pretty useless.

I had a disagreement with a woman on the forums years ago who said that women don't use that feature because they are more selective than men.

I disagreed because from my perspective at the time my local feed was filled with single women using status updates for exactly the same purpose.

I've never used it because I've no interest in meeting random people who might respond. I prefer to get to know people before meeting.

We've used it to good effect before when wanting a last minute mmf. Single guys get some stick on here, but having spent a good few years as a single lad on here I'll defend them 🤣. If you deleted the meet now for single men, the meets and events pages would get clogged instead.

I've used it and met some men on it

I generally think that it's great for single men to use all of the tools here, aiming to increase their success. Always get the profile right fellas

It can be. Depends on who you're wanting to meet. Why you're wanting to?

If you're straight, I think the likelihood of it resulting in anything sexual is quite low. And it might put some women off.

But if you want to try it out, do so with very little expectations. Best way of approaching most things on Fab. 😊

Totally useful for others.

When I go on meet today, I get a load of messages (99%) from outside my area or even bloody country, so often when I'm looking for a meet, I just save myself the admin of a full inbox by looking to see who is currently available.

I'm sure this is the same for couples and single ladies
