I’ve recently broken up with my FWB

And really surprised how hard it has hit me.

We had always agreed we could and would walk away, the feelings were always of respect and trust. Not love, but a genuine connection, based on sex and again a healthy respect and trust for each other and our respective circumstances

Now having agreed to walk away, as she has a potential boyfriend, which we could not do for each other. I wish her nothing but love and luck, but I am now missing our connection

lol not after sympathy, more just someone to go ‘yeah I get that’ and tell me I am not clown lol

Just gone through something similar and it’s definitely hard. For me it was going from messaging every day to a few times a week just doing the friends thing. I’ll always care they were pretty special to me but I’m about 11 weeks down the line and I’m good. Just been away with friends and had a little holiday fling and it’s honestly done me the world of good. Feel like me for the first time in ages

Yeah i get it ive been there, diffrence was i did fall for her, im attached, she was attached, we had a good wee thing, but feelings got in the way, long term i think it would be hard not catch feelings with someone your intimate with long term anyway, i deff wont make that mistake again, i took it bad tbh🤦

Just been through this, 28 years together, 4 kids and have broke up in last 6 months, still struggling to believe it's over, constant breakdowns when sitting at home alone, each time it happens I have to think about my kids while looking at pics of them and that perks me up each time, thank god for them or who knows what would happen....

I have had a fwb for 2 months now and it is the best thing I’ve ever had in terms of relationships, but I’m very aware that it’s still new and exciting, we meet up every Wednesday and the odd weekend when schedules align and it’s perfect for both of us, a little escape from work, kids and the humdrum of everyday life.

I do worry though that one of us might confuse the passionate connection between us as love, or worse, that we both do, there appears to be no such thing as a long term no strings attached relationship, so as soon as I feel like I couldn’t see her fuck someone else, or find myself not wanting to fuck someone else, I think I’ll have to break things off, I know in my head there’s no real future in this, and she’s just too good a person to get hurt, and I’m not boyfriend material, not for her anyway.
