Near Newark and Grantham is lovely.

Great for kids schooling if that's a consideration, just watch out for the dogs in pubs!

Love it where we are. An hours drive in any direction takes us somewhere really nice. We have Rivington near us, got lovely places to go for walks, personally I wouldn't want to live anywhere else, am quite happy here.

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

Good points - Gorgeous friendly city near gorgeous amazing scenery. Good beer. Litter-free. Lots to do and see.

Bad points - quiet, boring for younger people, eye-wateringly expensive to live here.

It's the London effect. Eastbourne (though catching up) and Hastings are a lot cheaper and where I am just to the west of Brighton is two thirds of the housing prices. I bet you had some good nights out though?

I know i may have digs at grockles and people who have caravans, and tractors, and buses, i actually love where i live

Beaches everywhere Its just generally chilled out and relaxed.. Im close enough to Plymouth/Exeter/Torquay/Paignton.. but the lil town i live in has a great sense of community, royal regatta each year and a wicked music festival. Farmers markets, food festivals, festival of light.. its just great and stunningly beautiful

oh and we have palm tree's and the best weather apparently

Wow so your a similar age to me and your upping sticks and open to go anywhere.

I would find that very liberating indeed. I think if I had the choice it would be coastal. But I also love mountain scenery too. Snowdonia would be good for that!

So where are you leaning towards?
