Anyone here a lover of Wildlife. And no I'm not talking Bout people on fab. As I know a lot of you are wild.

I quite enjoy seeing animals in the wild. Seen quite a lot of Wildlife in South Africa and other places around the world.

I also live out in countryside, so I regularly see Barn Owls, Deers and Foxes.

Anyone else a big wildlife and animal lover and if so. Got any interesting stories?

Animals are awesome.

The animal kingdom is far more interesting and beautiful than the human one. Even the brutality of it.

I'm trying to domesticate a fox! Slowly. Really slowly. It's so lovely though - we've got woods opposite and there are various adorable beings to be found.

I've also got a *pet* robin who is getting braver every day, bring him left over berries

Niceeee. About 14 years ago. I did volunteering work in South Africa. Help looked after Marine life like Hammerhead Sharks, Tiger Sharks and Cape Fur Seals.

So good on you for helping to preserve life.

Have you named this particular fox? There's a fox I see quite often going into people's gardens. Someone on a local Facebook group page said a lot of people are leaving the fox peanuts to eat.

Love all animals, always have and seem to attract them.

Mum once found me hugging a Sparrowhawk in the garden (I'm assuming it was injured!) when I was about 8 😳

In Dominican Republic, the fledglings were having a nightmare first flight in the wind so all settled on my toes on the sunbed - very odd 🤣

We have a fox that comes to our garden every night to sleep under the rosemary bush, and when our eggs are delivered she takes them if we aren't quick enough. Makes me laugh imagining her trotting down the road with her box of eggs.

I saw some salty crocks in The kimberley from my 4x4 but I lived in Perth and they're not native there. I swam with a couple of whale sharks though. Roos in the garden and redback spiders were a daily sight.

We were swimming and snorkeling in a creek in Florida. A baby manatee started playing with me and was body to body with me, it began swimming away but still touching me - you can't touch back so I just had to go for a little ride until it's mum intervened ❤️

Somewhere in the middle not the.....

I live on the outskirts of countryside, so lots of farm animals seen on the way to and fron work, this time of year os lovely seeing all the lambs frolicking about. We also get a lot of Red kites above us.

Near where I work is a small canal so see a lot of bird life there too, and occasionally a family of otters appear, nice to sit and watch on my lunch break.

I love birds, just how majestic they are in the air.

We have a few nature walks around my area and on one walk with my dog in the Summer, when she was busy sniffing about (on lead!), I turned around and saw a doe/deer standing on the path where we had been walking. She was looking at something else and then disappeared into undergrowth before I had chance to get my camera out.

If felt quite magical - I felt honoured. It was particularly magical as my dog didn’t ruin the moment by spotting the deer and barking her tits off.

Oh we also have a lot of muntjac deer in and around areas of the town, as lovely as it is seeing them, its sad because its because we have encroached on their habitat by building so much in the town 😔

If those squirrels are grey, you should do the forest a favour and remove as many as possible. Terrible things to have in an ecosystem.

There are small colonies living in the wild in Cumbria, north east, anglesey apart from that the rest are in captivity. But the ones living in the wild are only there because of heavy grey control.

I've seen a few beautiful Deers round and about.

Once a very young one ran in front of me, when I was on my way to work, very early in the morning.

With its little cotton tail bobbing. Made me smile.

I love all animals (not pigeons, obviously) and I spend half my life down a YouTube rabbit hole (pun very much intended).

Can I mention here that it’s David Attenborough’s 100th birthday on 8th May. I mention him for obvious reasons but mainly because he is the one who hooked me on the natural world as a child. He’s my favourite person in the world.

They aren’t anywhere near a red squirrel population so right now they’re not doing any harm and fill the same ecological niche.

The martens are back and actively hunting them, so I’ll let the predators keep their prey.

It was a very brief experience.

We have a regular badger visitor, every 48 hours. They're quite aggressive so we stay well clear.

We have loads of foxes. One year a vixen got quite friendly and would lay in the garden near us in the summer. She brought her cubs to show us that year too. We like them because they keep the slugs and rats down

Best way, badgers can be really nasty when they want to be.

My house backs onto a park so we get a lot of squirrels. Foxes and badgers make a regular appearance... badgers particularly are a nuisance as they tip over our pots and pull the plants out. I was lucky enough to meet someone who does wildlife filming and he took me to see some little owls. Was extremely privileged as we saw them mating which was apparently something he had rarely seen them do. That was quite awesome.

I think so. Foxes are a common sight in cities. So they're probably used to people now. Plus as well fox hunting is banned too. So the relationship has changed. Just my theory though.

I do a lot of scuba diving here in the West Coast of Scotland

April to August I get to see Basking Shark up close as well as dolphins, porpoises, Fin and Pilot Whales

Back in the day I got pretty close to a young Humpback in the Clyde that had followed US submarines

Most exotic I’ve seen is a Rizzo’s Dolphin that came right up the Clyde into the City Centre. These are Pelagic species that do not come any closer than around 10 miles from shore.

"My dream is to go whale watching and hopefully see an Orca - whether that be in Scotland or Canada, ive loved them since I was 5

Or

Go on safari and see lions - i love them"

There was a pod of Orca around Ailsa Craig in the Clyde a few years ago, definitely see them in the Pentland Firth

Definitely an animal lover! Have too many pets and I’ve done quite a few wildlife walks here but I haven’t got round to doing anything outside of this country yet. Definitely a few on the bucket list!

"Lovely weather for the Lambing season

It really is. There's a lot of signs near where I love. Telling dog owners to keep their dogs on leads due to the lambing season "

I watched our farmer friend skin a dead lamb that died at birth

He tied the skin onto the back of a lamb that a mother never accepted and presented it to the mother of the dead lamb.

The mother smelt the dead skin and thought it was her own, and adopted the other lamb as it's own.

You don't realise what farmers have to do, and don't appreciate the hard times of farming

"Anyone here a lover of Wildlife.

My guilty pleasure is taking my camera down to my local RSPB reserve (90 min bike ride tops, longer walk) and trying to get interesting or good detailed shots of native and migratory birds.

Ironically the best shot I have probably gotten is of a group of deer one misty morning about a month back.

I'm yet to get an iconic kingfisher shot.

But I love it, hiking, or nosing around nature reserves brings me so much peace.

Before the iran stuff kicked off I was going to plan a 2 week trip to maderia. 1 week hiking the levadas, and one week sea kayaking and hoping I get to see some marine wildlife

I'm so envious. What a great experience to have witnessed.

"My house backs onto a park so we get a lot of squirrels.

Niceeee. I've never seen a badger. Seen Barn Owls and Foxes. I think there's an Owl near me. I can it at night. Wonder if the Owl has little Owls 🦉 "

If you can here a twit followed a twooo.. you've probably got a pair of tawny owls 😍🦉🦉

Always preferred animals to people to be honest. I love living in a little village surrounded by country side for all the wildlife but the downside is seeing all the dead animals in the road
