I struggle to accept genuine compliments about either but that is more about my own self image and worth than anything else. I have been working on it but it is slow progress.

I do ignore most of the sycophantic compliments on fab and other sites as there is normally an ulterior motive behind them. Very few people know the real me so anything compliments on here are superficial at best.

Unfortunately my neurodiverse brain wont accept a compliment of any kind. Ill smile and thank you for it, but my brain is telling me you're either lying or just being nice. For years I used to get lots of compliments on my personality but none on my looks so as far as I was concerned I was invisible.

I'm not entirely comfortable with any form of compliment these days but I'm proud of how I look for my age so if someone else thinks so too I'm ok with that and if they think I'm a nice guy then that's a bonus.
