Unappealing profile

Is it just me or do other people try to make their profile less appealing to limit unwanted messages, I use message filter and remove pics and change my name and bio to come across less appealing to message, if I’m actually looking to meet I’ll put proper pictures and bio , does anyone else do something similar or am I a unicorn, or do you like all the attention and messages

It’s definitely unappealing and works for me as cuts my messages from random people down considerably without having to hide , so friends know if I’m online for some banter

Seems a lot of effort when you can just tell people you're not currently looking to meet, or just hide your profile.

If you try to come across as unappealing, then when you want meets, folk may remember this and not be that fussed about meeting you

I get disheartened sometimes my profile needs to be more taylored to disengage than engage. But I find some gems stick it out and contact.

I don't agree with 'hide your profile ' I means people I am speaking to can't see it. And it also means I can't engage how I want to because of others behaviour.

I'd never want to loose this profile because my block list is so long 😂 but that's the best defensive I think... Abit of preemptive blocking

I do adjust my filters depending on the time of day too 😂
