60 ml Rye Whiskey or Bourbon

7.5 ml (1/4 oz) Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur

7.5 ml (1/4 oz) Simple Syrup (2∶1 sugar-to-water)

2 dashes Angostura Bitters

1 dash Absinthe (for rinsing glass or direct addition)
