I absolutely love them when the suns out and you can’t beat a ploughman’s lunch (not stealing an actual ploughman’s lunch)

I add loads to mine coleslaw, potato salad, scotch egg, radish, celery, cheese, pickle etc so not a true basic ploughman’s but I digress

What’s your favourite salad made up of ?

Steak Doesn’t count 😀

What? Steak counts! With cucumber, pepper, sweetcorn, lambs lettuce, a good dressing, roasted chickpeas maybe a sprinkle of feta.

My favourite salad would be roasted chickpeas (yep, there's a theme), spinach, pomegranate seeds, avocado, finely diced cucumber, halloumi, roast butternut squash and a tahini and lime dressing. Generally I like most salads.

Going to make a Caesar salad tomorrow, thanks for the inspiration OP.

I should rephrase that…. I love a ploughman’s 😵‍💫😵‍💫

For the record, I am not in fact engaging in any form of illicit behaviour with an agricultural ploughman 😜

I made a watermelon, mint and feta salad for the first time last year, it's definitely a favourite now. I like a cous cous salad. I like to do rings of raw onion in vinegar, same with sliced cucumber, I love pickled onions and gherkins. Strawberries and grapes in with salad leaves and tomatoes, cucumber, raw peppers, spring onions, avocado.

I suppose I like salads a little bit.

Don't knock a salad! My fave is a chicken bacon caesar salad. But honestly, there are so many good combinations.

I bought some babygem lettuces today so I'll probably make a salad tomorrow with some chicken I've taken out of the freezer and some baby new potatoes (I'm having leftovers this evening). Make a tangy dressing with Greek yoghurt, feta, lemon, mint, parsley, garlic and some other bits. Olives, sweetcorn, tomatoes, eggs. Maybe some pickled red onions and beetroot. I've got an avocado that needs using but I might have that for breakfast.

The key to a good salad is the dressing for me.

Tonypandy.

Ploughman's with a really strong cheddar. I also very finely chop the apple and combine with a blue cheese dressing.

A good greek salad loaded with feta and olives.

Warm potato salad with mustard mayo and smoked sausages.

I love a salad, especially in the warmer weather.

Its all about the dressing, French vinegarette or honey and mustard for me.

Like them simple with a few strong flavours and no lettuce ! Beetroot, feta or goats cheese and chick peas or couscous is a favourite.

Good dressing essential too - bold mix of sweet and sour is top.
